Ravel
Ma Mère l'Oye Suite

Gemma New conducts the Orchestra in this fanciful performance of Ravel’s Ma Mère l’Oye Suite (Mother Goose Suite). Written for piano in 1910, Ravel orchestrated the work a year later. Subtitled ‘Cinq pièces enfantines’ (Five Pieces for Children), Ravel evokes Tom Thumb, Sleeping Beauty, and a garden of fairies in this iconic set of pieces.
